Bio

Marius is a specialist in litigation and regulatory matters. He has particular expertise in environmental, natural resources and energy law. His experience includes advising on environmental regulatory and risk matters, (especially related to infrastructure projects and renewable energy projects), issues relating to contractual compliance and director liability and authorisation/ permitting processes. His clients include national and international mining companies, oil and gas exploration companies, industrial companies, financial institutions and power utilities. He has represented clients in the High Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and in the Constitutional Court in a wide range of matters. Before joining Webber Wentzel, he served as the Special Legal Advisor to the Minister of Environmental Affairs and was appointed Head of the Ministry.
