Madelein Van Der Walt Bio

Madelein Van Der Walt specialises in general corporate law, commercial law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate restructurings. She has experience in advising on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange listings requirements, the takeover regulations, corporate governance and exchange control. She has co-presented on the GIBS board leadership programmes since 2020 and lectured on the corporate governance law elective of the GIBS MBA programme, as well as the corporate law module of MBA of the University of the Free State School of Business. She has published numerous articles on company law, general corporate law, directors' duties and responsibilities and M&A.​
