Axel Lohde specialises in advising large and medium-sized firms and their shareholders on a broad range of corporate matters and representing them in court and arbitration proceedings. He also has 40+ years’ experience advising on national and cross-border joint ventures, M&A transactions and IP/IT projects. His practice focusses on companies in the chemicals, healthcare, energy, trading and information and communication technology sectors. Axel is regularly appointed as a party representative and arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings and serves as an honorary judge and member of the presiding committee at the Hamburg Bar Court (Hamburgisches Anwaltsgericht) as well as chairman of the board of trustees for a large Hamburg foundation. He has been recommended many times by German legal directories JUVE Handbuch and Legal 500 EMEA and has been awarded repeatedly and 2023 again by legal directory Best Lawyers in cooperation with German business magazine Handelsblatt as one of Germany´s leading company law experts.
