Tom Cochrane is a partner in the firm's Funds and Corporate Groups in Dubai where he has been based since 2012. He assists clients on matters of Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands (BVI) law. Tom's primary focus is on investment funds (including hedge funds, venture capital funds and private equity funds). He regularly acts for leading sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, asset managers and private equity firms on the structuring and formation of funds. Tom also has significant corporate and commercial experience, including advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, preference share issues and other corporate transactions. Tom is also a member of the firm's Finance Group, and has significant experience advising borrowers and lenders on a broad range of finance transactions.
