Bio

Stefan Knobloch primarily deals with national and international M&A transactions, public takeovers, private equity transactions, IPOs, debt financing, corporate governance and general corporate, stock exchange and capital market law. He has accompanied numerous transactions in this area. He also writes legal opinions on stock exchange law, corporate law, law of obligations and civil procedure law and publishes and teaches at the University of Zurich in his preferred areas of activity. After studying law at the University of Zurich (licentiate 2002), he was admitted to the bar in Zurich in 2005 and received his doctorate (summa cum laude) from the University of Zurich in 2006 in the field of corporate and restructuring law. In 2011 he was awarded the venia legendi for commercial law and civil procedure law by the University of Zurich and in 2018 the University of Zurich appointed him adjunct professor. His habilitation thesis deals with the enforcement of shareholder rights. In addition to his work at Walder Wyss, Stefan Knobloch is a private lecturer at the University of Zurich, substitute judge at the District Court of Uster (canton of Zurich) and co-head of the commercial law section of the Zurich Bar Association. Before Stefan Knobloch joined our law firm, Stefan Knobloch speaks German and English. He is entered in the lawyers' register of the Canton of Zurich.
