A testament to his abilities, Steven Cohen is among a select group of attorneys capable of practicing as both a commercial transactional attorney and litigator. Steven Cohen consistently deploys Wachtel Missry’s talent and resources to address complex issues and collaborates across all departments to deliver on the firm’s promise of best-in-class practice ethics. Steven’s practice ranges from technology, real estate, and construction to luxury goods, fashion, and hospitality, covering lending, preferred equity investment, employment, manufacturing, distribution, and intellectual property licensing. Known for his loyalty, tenacity and consistency, by peers and adversaries, Steven has successfully tried many jury and non-jury cases in federal and state courts, as well as before arbitration panels. From day-to-day matters to their most crucial matters, the firm’s clients have looked no further than Steven to serve as outside general counsel. He is integrally involved in all aspects of Wachtel Missry’s administration. He has been a fixture of the Management Committee over the years and through the present. Steven has long served as a pro bono attorney for the City Bar Justice Center’s Veteran Assistance Project (VAP), where he advocates on behalf of military veterans. Steven handles appeals to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, in order to obtain service-connected benefits for military personnel wounded while on active duty.
