Jeff Steele Bio

Jeff Steele is a Corporate Partner at VLP and provides cost-effective, efficient and informed corporate and technology transaction counsel for venture capital-backed technology companies and the investors who fund them. Jeff represents emerging growth technology companies with respect to mergers and acquisitions; venture capital and angel financings; commercial contracts, including strategic partnerships and other collaborative arrangements and licensing; company formation; and general corporate counseling. Jeff also regularly represents venture capital funds and angel groups in their portfolio investments. Prior to joining VLP, Jeff was a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP in their Salt Lake City office and a partner at Holland & Hart LLP, also in their Salt Lake City office. Prior to that, he practiced in the Boston, Massachusetts, area as a partner in a boutique law firm that represented emerging growth technology companies and venture capital funds. Jeff is a graduate of the Cornell Law School. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys skiing in the Wasatch, cycling and, although he recently took it up and lacks any proficiency at it, surfing.
