Greg Beattie's practice focuses on corporate and technology law, emphasizing private company representation, mergers, acquisitions and strategic joint ventures, start-ups, raising capital, technology and trademark licensing, protection and transfers, investor representation, and securities and commercial law. He represents a broad spectrum of hardware, software and internet based companies, food and beverage companies including several wineries, cleantech/greentech companies, investment firms, and a variety of other distribution, retail, service, and manufacturing concerns, often serving as their general counsel. Greg graduated from Harvard Law School in 1980 (J.D., cum laude). He received his B.A., with distinction and departmental honors, from Stanford University in 1976. His past experience includes clerking for California Supreme Court Justice Stanley Mosk, serving as General Counsel of UB Networks, a pioneering local area network manufacturer, and serving as chair of the Venture and Technology Practice Group at Reed Smith, LLP, a major international law firm.
