Steffen has around 20 years’ experience as an expert in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and buyout transactions and advises Dutch and foreign companies, private equity funds and other (real estate) investors on international and national transactions, mainly with deal values in the mid-market segment. In addition, Steffen combines his transaction expertise with an in-depth knowledge of real estate and he has a particular sector focus on corporate law real estate transactions, where Steffen expertly advises on commercial real estate (portfolio) transactions designed as equity transactions and/or structured auction processes. For years, Steffen has been recommended in international guides, like Legal 500, for mergers & acquisitions, private equity and real estate transactions. Steffen studied Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam and obtained a postgraduate degree (cum laude) in company and corporate law at the Grotius Academy.
