Scott Jordan, combines his broad legal knowledge with his business education and practical experience to assist in business transactions, real estate, financing transactions, private security offerings, mergers and acquisitions, business formations and structures, general counsel, and other business-related matters as required to meet the needs of Tripp Scott’s clients. During his career, he has been involved in the closing of more than $8 billion in transactions. Jordan also serves as a trustee of several trusts for his clients and their children and grandchildren. During his career, Jordan has counseled and assisted numerous business owners in the formation and re-structuring of their business entities, and with respect to compliance, licensing, and contracting issues relating to, and in connection with protecting their businesses and the businesses’ information and assets; borrowers, lenders, issuers, and underwriters in complex financing transactions; both buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions; business owners and developers in the development, rezoning, conversion, purchase, and sale of properties. Before joining Tripp Scott, Jordan worked for 10 years as a corporate executive with a retail company. Active in the local community, Jordan currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the South Palm Beach County YMCA and also serves as the Chairman of its Financial Development Committee and as a member of its Executive Committee. He has in the past served on the Advisory Board for The Place of Hope at The Haven Campus; as a member of the Board of Directors of The Haven; as a committee member of John Alden Life's Sports Day Challenge to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis; a member of the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce's Trustee project team; as a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas High School Charitable Foundation and as a Member of its Alumni Committee; as a member of the board of directors of the Boca Greens Homeowner's Association; as the secretary for the St. Joan of Arc Ushers Ministry; as a Board Member of the Broward Education Foundation and as a member of its executive committee; and as a member of the Bylaws Committee for the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club. Jordan holds a Juris Doctor degree with honors from St. Thomas University School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration degree, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University. After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, he initially attended the University of Louisiana, Monroe, on a football scholarship.
