Roy primarily focuses on private M&A, private equity, venture capital and general corporate advisory work. Over the last 15+ years, Roy has represented investors as well as startups, growth stage companies and their promoters on fund-raising transactions, strategic acquisitions, mergers, demergers, acqui-hires, structuring employee stock option schemes, exits by way of swaps, business transfers and other general corporate advisory work. Roy has also been involved in several complex M&A deals involving restructuring of businesses and representing clients before authorities such as the (erstwhile) Foreign Investment Promotion Board, Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Registrar of Companies and the Ministry of Home Affairs in connection with regulatory matters and transaction approvals.
