Bhakta Patnaik is a Partner in the Mumbai office of Trilegal and heads the firm’s Capital Markets practice. He has advised issuers and investment banks on a broad range of domestic and international transactions, including offerings and private placements of convertible and exchangeable bonds and units of real estate investment trusts and business trusts, leveraged notes and equity upside notes and block trades in India, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. He has been involved in the restructuring of debt and equity-linked instruments. He was involved in the drafting of the REIT and InvIT Regulations in India based on his experience in Singapore.
