Richard is a partner in the Corporate M&A and ECM Group. He provides M&A and equity capital markets advice, principally to public companies as well as investment banks, hedge funds and other financial intermediaries operating in the listed environment. Richard has an M&A practice which is both domestic and cross border. He is particularly renowned for his expertise in the UK Takeover Code. Richard also regularly advises public companies on private M&A and demergers. For public takeover work his client base encompasses quoted companies, financial sponsors, and merger arb funds. Richard was instrumental in setting the market norms for electronic acceptance of all UK takeovers and is ranked as a Band 1 leading individual by Chambers UK for mid-market corporate M&A.
