Stephanie Stimpson Bio

Stephanie manages a diverse corporate and transactional practice, working with energy and other clients in Canada and internationally to support all aspects of their business, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, securities and regulatory compliance, joint ventures and commercial arrangements, and board and governance matters. Stephanie serves on the firm’s executive committee and is an officer in the International Bar Association. Throughout each stage of a transaction, from strategic discussion to deal completion, Stephanie is actively involved, often coordinating the roles across a large team of advisers in many jurisdictions and managing the government and partner approval processes. Her transactional experience extends beyond Canada and the United States to Australia, Turkey, Argentina, Africa, China, Colombia, Brazil, Ireland, the Netherlands and other jurisdictions. At the board level, Stephanie is a trusted advisor for directors and management teams on best practices for governance, fiduciary duties, disclosure, compliance and investigations, corporate ethics, sustainability and other matters.
