Kurt Ruttum Bio

Kurt’s business practice emphasizes mergers and acquisitions, finance, strategic analysis, and general corporate counsel matters. He has extensive experience representing companies, borrowers, lenders, and investors. His clients represent a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, software development, and forest products. Kurt served as Tonkon Torp’s Managing Partner from July 2020 through June 2025. He began his law career with the firm in 1986 and was a partner in 1996 when he left to join a publicly held manufacturing company as Vice President and General Counsel. He subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer of a publicly held software company. Kurt rejoined Tonkon Torp in 2000. Kurt is admitted to practice law in Oregon and Washington.
