James Webb is a partner in TLT's Corporate team. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations and advising on general aspects of company law. He also acts as a board advisor to one of the firm’s key clients. James has particular experience in the leisure, food & drink and retail & consumers goods sectors, advising a wide range of clients from owner managed businesses to international corporates. He recently advised the owners of Bristol Uniforms on its US$64m acquisition by US-based MSA Safety (winner of Deal of the Year at the Insider South West Dealmaker Awards), Mobile Windscreens Limited (a member of the National Windscreens Consortium) on its £65m acquisition of the Charles Pugh Group, the shareholders of Roper Rhodes on its £90m sale to Swedish headquartered Svedbergs, and the shareholders of Francis Flower on its sale to Sweden’s state-owned LKAB Minerals. Clients have commented that James is a "polished negotiator" and a "pleasure to work with". He is listed as a key lawyer in Legal 500, an independent guide to the legal profession, with one client describing him as “calm and professional” with “an outstanding command of the detail”. In 2018 James was awarded 'Young Dealmaker of the Year' at the Insider South West Dealmakers Award.
