Liz advises clients on a wide range of corporate legal issues. Her focus centers largely around the representation of privately-held emerging and high-growth companies, as well as the venture capital funds, angel investors, and syndicates that invest in those companies. Drawing upon her significant experience in corporate law, commercial transactions and debt and equity financings, Liz is well-positioned to provide experienced, practical and insightful counsel to investors (both local and national) in seed, angel and venture capital transactions with issuers at a wide variety of stages, in a wide range of industries. Liz’s work as general corporate counsel to companies spans the entire corporate life cycle, including start-up matters and strategy, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, commercial contracts and transactions (including real estate and mergers and acquisitions). In addition to her substantial transaction experience in these areas, Liz often acts as outside general counsel to companies in many stages of growth, advising private companies, and their executives and advisors, regarding disclosure, corporate governance and other securities law issues. Liz began her legal career at Miller, Garrell & Walsh (Fairfield, CT) in 2002, and then joined a prominent corporate law firm in Burlington, Vermont in 2004. From 2004 to 2015, Liz worked as a corporate paralegal, and, in 2015, was admitted to practice law in the State of Vermont as an attorney. In 2016, Liz co-founded the Moulton Law Group with Eli Moulton.
