Kent Webb is a co-chair of the firm’s Corporate Department and serves as a trusted adviser to assist clients in getting their products and services to market and in developing strategies for the growth and protection of their investments to increase enterprise value. Mr. Webb focuses his practice on representing clients in connection with a variety of transactions involving intellectual property and technology-based assets and services. He has extensive experience in representing companies, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies, and family office enterprises, in venture capital and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and commercialization of intellectual property. Mr. Webb advises clients in corporate governance, capital-raising and strategic alliances, including joint ventures, outsourcing and offshoring arrangements. Before joining Taylor English in 2013, Mr. Webb was a member at a full-service, business law firm, where he headed the Atlanta technology practice, chaired the firm’s charitable program and served in a variety of management roles. Before joining that firm in 2002, he practiced at one of the nation’s most prestigious corporate law firms, where he was an attorney in the firm’s corporate and securities practice. Mr. Webb began his law career at a leading international firm, where he was an attorney in the firm’s corporate and securities practice. Before pursuing his law career, Mr. Webb worked at BellSouth Corp. in a variety of capacities for 13 years. In his final position, he served as the chief financial officer for BellSouth NetSource Division, a strategic business unit focused on serving the corporation’s largest customers. Mr. Webb is the chair emeritus of the Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
