Keith Smith is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. He represents businesses and individuals across Florida in the areas of real estate and corporate law. As a part of his corporate offerings, Mr. Smith advises clients on formation, corporate governance, commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions. He also serves as outside general counsel to numerous businesses, including Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative Inc., one of the largest rural electric cooperative utilities in the U.S. For real estate transactions, Mr. Smith brings deep financial services and transactional experience to his client interactions having served as a Senior Attorney and Vice President at Citigroup, providing legal support for a variety of transactions in real estate and shared services. He represents clients in a variety of real estate projects, including office buildings, commercial office centers, industrial parks, apartment complexes, and multi-family developments. Mr. Smith is consistently recognized by clients and colleagues alike for his outstanding contributions in the commercial real estate space. A versatile and forward-thinking advisor, he is known for his expertise in economic development, public-private partnerships, and passion for strategic business expansion in Central Florida. Mr. Smith served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable David Ross in the Maryland Circuit Court, and as a member of several law firms in Maryland and Florida. He is an active member of the business community and a sought after thought leader.
