Saverio (Sam) V. Cereste is a partner of the Tax Department and Trusts and Estates Department of Tashlik Goldwyn Crandell Levy LLP. Sam’s practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning as well as estate and trust administration.Sam advises clients on implementing and structuring estate planning strategies which maximize tax planning opportunities (estate tax, gift tax, GST tax and income tax) while meeting the goals and needs of the client, with a particular focus on preserving wealth for subsequent generations of families. Sam represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust administration matters, including the probate process, accountings and beneficiary/fiduciary disputes. Sam provides advice with respect to tax reporting matters including the preparation of gift tax returns, estate tax returns, GST tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns. Sam received his J.D. from New York Law School where he graduated cum laude and was a member and editor of the New York Law School Journal of Human Rights. Sam also received his Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York Law School. Sam received his B.A. from Rutgers College where he was an Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholar.
