Tim Sayer advises on mergers and acquisitions (both regulated and unregulated), capital raising, joint ventures, shareholding arrangements and corporate governance. Tim is listed as one of three preeminent Queensland corporate lawyers in the 2021 Doyle’s guide to the Australian legal profession and was named Private Equity Lawyer of the Year (QLD) in the 2021 edition of ‘The Best Lawyers in Australia’. He is also a ranked practitioner in the 2021 Chambers and Partners for corporate and M&A. Tim has a focus on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital market transactions and public company advisory work. He has acted for a number of leading private equity firms on large management buy-outs and expansion capital deals as well as advising founders and corporates on sell-side transactions. Tim also provides advice on directors’ duties and other governance issues confronting boards of public and private companies. His own industry experience, including as a former director of Marine Queensland and the Heart Foundation and as a current advisory board member of Riviera and the Glass Outlet, provides a valuable insight into the issues faced by company boards.
