Alistair Schaefer Bio

Alistair is a corporate lawyer who advises clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, corporate governance and general commercial matters. Alistair advises private equity and other financial sponsors, listed and unlisted businesses alike on complex domestic and cross border transactions spanning a wide range of industry sectors including the financial services, software, construction, real estate, mining, publishing and consumer goods industries. Alistair utilises a wealth of top-tier Australian and international legal experience to deliver high quality, commercially minded, solutions-focused outcomes for his clients. Alistair prioritises responsiveness, reliability, efficiency and finding pragmatic solutions to difficult problems. Prior to joining Talbot Sayer, Alistair worked in Gilbert + Tobin’s corporate transactions and advisory team in Sydney, and Travers Smith’s private equity and financial sponsors team in London.
