M. Zach Gordon practice focuses on the representation of clients of all sizes, including individuals, private equity funds, large multi-national corporations and closely-held and family-owned businesses, in matters ranging from general “day-to-day” commercial transactions to complex transactions involving mergers, acquisitions and recapitalizations. He also regularly represents clients with negotiation, licensing, and statutory compliance matters. Zach’s advisory practice spans a variety of fields including, employment, advertising and distributor/supplier relationships. Zach’s intellectual property prosecution practice includes trademark and copyright matters in the United States and abroad. Zach has also worked extensively with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to identify and seek the prohibition, seizure and destruction of infringing and counterfeit articles imported into the United States on behalf of his clients. Prior to joining Taft, Zach was an associate with Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione in Chicago. He served as a Post Graduate Judicial Intern for Chief Judge James Holderman – N.D. Illinois prior to that. Zach received his B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 2005 and his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law in 2009. He has been named an Indiana Rising Star for business/corporate law and is recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for corporate law.
