James Courtney Bio

James Courtney is a founding partner of the Firm. His practice includes a range of business transactions relating to capital markets, fund formation, secured lending, mergers and acquisitions, mortgage banking, and commercial leasing. Mr. Courtney represents a variety of businesses, including financial institutions, media companies, funds, issuers, conduits and institutional investors in all aspects of business transactions. Prior to founding the Firm, Mr. Courtney practiced for more than twelve years in the Corporate Department of the law firm of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he was a partner of the firm’s Financial Markets Group.
