Carlo Pavesio is a co-founder and the senior partner of Pavesio e Associati. Prior to his current role he was one of the co-founders and partners of Brosio, Casati e Associati (established on 1 July 1990) and was a partner of Allen & Overy from 1998, when the two firms merged, until 31 December 2006. His experience is mainly focused on contentious and non-contentious matters, in corporate and contractual law advising domestic and international clients. He specializes in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganization as well as in connection with generation transfers, governance and trust. He also has arbitration and litigation expertise. He has authored a number of articles and given several lectures on Italian and EU law. He served as director of several listed and non-listed companies and he is currently a director of BasicNet S.p.A. (listed company), Fenera Holding S.p.A., Società Reale Mutua di Assicurazioni, Italiana Assicurazioni S.p.A., BasicWorld S.r.l. (Chairman), Farmaceutici Procemsa S.p.A. (Vice Chairman), Tosetti Value SIM S.p.A., BasicItalia S.p.A., P. Fiduciaria S.r.l., Francesco Franchi S.p.A., IPI S.p.A., Finceretto S.r.l., Bodino S.r.l. (Chairman) and is a member of the Auditing Board of the Fondazione Piemontese per l’Oncologia (Piedmont Oncology Foundation). Carlo Pavesio gained his J.D. degree in 1979 from the University of Turin where he graduated magna cum laude and dignity of printing and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics in 1980. He was a trainee at the Legal Service of the EU Commission in Brussels in 1980-1981 and a “Visiting Foreign Lawyer” with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in New York in 1985-1986. He is a member of the Turin Bar and admitted to practice before the Corte di Cassazione (the Italian Supreme Court).
