Bio

Gerben Smit is a very experienced litigator and co-heads the Dispute Resolution team. His practice covers the full range of corporate and commercial dispute resolution, with an emphasis on M&A related disputes, directors’ and professional liability, banking and finance litigation and follow-on (cartel) damage claims. Gerben has particular strength in contract law and has ample experience acting for financial institutions and global (listed) companies active in the transportation, leisure and industry sectors. He represents his clients in both local (high)courts and in arbitrations under, inter alia, ICC, NAI and CEPANI arbitration rules.
