Philip Greaney graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2009. Phil completed the College of Law Practical Legal Training Program and was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in October 2010 while employed at a specialised boutique mining firm. He has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance with KAPLAN Inc. (formerly FINSIA). Phil commenced employment with Steinepreis Paganin in September 2011 and was appointed a Partner July 2018. Phil has a wide range of experience in general corporate and commercial matters including public and private mergers and acquisitions (including takeovers and schemes of arrangement), capital raisings (including IPOs and backdoor listings of mineral exploration, technology and biotechnology companies), Takeovers Panel matters, due diligence investigations and compliance issues (including preparation of documents for shareholder meetings and corporate governance matters). Phil also has experience in the drafting of mining and resources documents including joint venture agreements, farm-in agreements, mineral rights agreements, acquisition and disposal of mining assets and independent solicitor’s reports.
