Mark Mcconnell is admitted to legal practice in Western Australia and Scotland having graduated from Edinburgh University, Scotland with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). He completed a legal traineeship with Archibald, Campbell & Harley WS in Edinburgh where he later practiced for two years as a corporate lawyer gaining a wealth of experience in corporate law, commercial law and banking and finance. Mark joined Steinepreis Paganin in 2010 and was appointed a Partner on 1 July 2018. Mark has over 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial matters including in capital raisings (IPOs, backdoor listings and secondary capital raisings), mergers and acquisitions (both takeovers and schemes of arrangement) and de-mergers. His practice areas also include corporate reconstructions and recapitalisations of listed entities, project acquisitions and divestments, corporate governance and shareholder meetings. Mark also regularly assists clients with their company secretarial functions and advises them on matters relating to the ASX Listing Rules and the Corporations Act. He also has experience in the mining and resources sector including advising on the acquisition and disposal of mining and oil and gas projects and negotiating joint venture and earn-in agreements
