Phil heads the Crime and Regulatory Team. With over 25 years’ experience in all areas of criminal law, he is renowned for his crisis and reputation management skills when dealing with high net worth individuals and also acts for individuals or companies in reporting crime and fraud to the authorities. Phil establishes an immediate dialogue with investigating authorities, often successfully making representations to the police and specialist prosecuting agencies not to charge his client. He is instructed by leading individuals from the arts, finance and sport, senior media executives, and medical and legal professionals, including a former police and crime commissioner on misconduct allegations. He acts for companies and is retained by leading financial institutions to represent directors and employees facing allegations of criminality. Phil was runner up in the Lawyer Awards Client Partner of the Year 2013 and is one of six “Outstanding in the field” Criminal Lawyers in The Spear’s 500, 2018.
