Scott Macdonald is a partner in the firm’s Investment Funds practice group in the New York office. Scott focuses his practice on the representation of fund sponsors in the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, food and agriculture, natural resources, hedge and hybrid funds, as well as funds of funds. He also advises fund sponsors in the formation, operation, and regulatory compliance of their investment advisers and related entities. In addition, Scott represents prominent institutional investors in connection with their investments in leading private investment funds, separate and/or managed accounts, co-investments and acquisitions of interests in fund sponsors, and otherwise. Scott is currently ranked in the 2022–2024 editions of Chambers Global and Chambers USA for Investment Funds: Investor Representation.
