Krista Kay Lewis represents private equity sponsors and privately held companies in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, investments, restructurings, and other transactions. She also provides general corporate counseling to portfolio companies and other clients on matters such as corporate governance, financing, and executive compensation. Krista represents clients primarily in the healthcare and technology industries, as well as financial services, food and beverage, sports and entertainment, distribution, and manufacturing. Krista was an integral member of the legal team that represented Steward Health Care System in connection with its acquisition of IASIS Healthcare from TPG Capital, which was recognized as “Healthcare and Life Sciences Deal of the Year (Over $1B)” by The M&A Advisor. Krista earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law where she also served on the Indiana Law Journal. Krista is also a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business where she earned her MBA with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. Prior to her postgraduate studies, Krista graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a double major in French and Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, Krista studied abroad at the Université de Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to joining Sidley, Krista was an associate at another major international law firm.
