Linas Grikis is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Chicago office. Linas relies on his years of experience to routinely provide practical assistance to clients in the healthcare industry on a variety of transactional and regulatory matters. He regularly serves as lead counsel in connection with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other healthcare transactions. His experience includes the representation of institutional healthcare providers, including academic medical centers, hospitals, health systems and integrated delivery systems, as well as large physician groups, specialty providers and healthcare private equity firms. Recently, he has represented, as lead counsel, several regional community hospitals in developing affiliations with multi-billion dollar healthcare systems. He has also represented, as lead counsel, a nationally recognized not-for-profit healthcare system in connection with its affiliation with a regional hospital. He has also represented an academic medical center in connection with several large strategic transactions. In addition to his deep transactional experience, Linas also regularly advises hospital and health systems and other healthcare clients on regulatory compliance with licensure, accreditation, other state and federal regulatory matters, corporate governance and compliance issues. Linas writes and lectures regularly on health law and corporate matters. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University–Chicago, where he teaches the health law section of the Law School’s legal writing program.
