Meir Grossman is a partner in the Business Transactions Group. Mr. Grossman works with sponsors and managers of private investment funds on a wide variety of formation, structuring and transactional matters including structuring and negotiating seed and other forms of strategic investments. His practice concentrates on hedge fund M&A and private equity transactions, and he regularly advises investment management firms and their principals on acquisitions and restructurings of investment management firms and lift-out restructurings of proprietary trading desks into independent investment management firms. Mr. Grossman also represents a number of fund sponsors in the formation, development and structuring of private equity, venture capital and opportunity funds as well as their capital raising activities, negotiations of side letters with major investors, and the management of their portfolio companies. His experience also includes negotiating financial, accounting and technology outsourcing transactions, complex partnership and operating agreements, joint venture transactions, as well as employment and consulting agreements and various other forms of commercial arrangements. Mr. Grossman received a B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1998, and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2001. He is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the New York City Bar Association. Meir is also a contributor to Seward & Kissel’s Cryptocurrency and Blockchain blog, SKrypto.
