Ettore Scimemi Bio

Ettore Scimemi graduated in Law from the University of Padua with honors and specialized in commercial law at the University of Milan with prof. R. Sacchi and prof. F. Denozza. He has a Ph.D. in commercial law from the Catholic University of Milan and an LL.M. from the Yale Law School. He is a professor of commercial law at the University of Padua, where he also teaches corporate law, financial market law, private economic law and economic analysis of law. Former partner of Gianni & Origoni, he works in the sector of corporate, banking, insurance and financial markets law. He is known in particular for his expertise in litigation and (national and international) arbitration, in banking and insurance regulation and for his track record in the division of large family estates. He is a member of the Italian bar (since 1999) and of the New York bar (since 2001).
