Head of Macclesfield Office, Head of Private Client and Partner
and access,
Justine Clowes is one of the owners of the business, jointly heads up the Macclesfield office and acts as the firm's compliance partner. In her legal work, Justine has a strong focus on working with people who lack mental capacity and their families and a special interest in legal services that benefit older and vulnerable people. This includes advising on estate planning and wills, care home fee funding, and generally helping people to plan for older age and put in place the arrangements that might help them later, for instance powers of attorney. She advises clients across Cheshire from our offices in Stockport, Chester, Macclesfield and Congleton and will also see clients at their home or in hospital should they not be able to come to one of our offices. Justine is a former chair of Solicitors for the Elderly (now known as the Association of Lifetime Lawyers) and remains a Director of the Association. She is a fully qualified member of STEP (Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners). Justine always makes sure that her clients are comfortable with the solutions that she provides and that they understand what can sometimes be complicated issues. Justine is recommended by prestigious legal directory Legal 500 UK. In her capacity as the firm's overall compliance partner, Justine holds the important role of COLP (compliance officer for legal practice).
