Bio

Ramiro Villarreal De la Garza joined Santos Elizondo in 2012 and he focuses his practice in Transactional and Corporate Law, Administrative/Regulatory and Real Estate Law. Ramiro has advised major domestic and foreign clients in diverse commercial transactions and real estate projects, as well as in their corporate governance and structure. Furthermore, he has represented multinational companies in their government affairs in México. Ramiro has given counsel to public entities such as the Municipal Government of Monterrey, the Nuevo León State Government, the Nuevo Léon State Congress and to a Texas Member of the House of Representatives in the US Federal Congress, among others. Between 2016 and 2018 he served as Chairman of the Real Estate Law Commission at the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados, A.C.) in Nuevo León, and he was a law professor at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León between 2015 and 2019, where he taught the courses of “Corporations and Business Organizations“, “Credit Transactions and Instruments” and “The Amparo Trial (Constitutional and Human Rights Litigation)”. Currently he is a law profesor at Universidad de Monterrey, where he teaches the course of “Commercial Contracts and Transactions”. Ramiro graduated with honors from his Law Degree at Universidad de Monterrey in 2011 and in 2016 he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) where he received a merit-based scholarship.
