Arjun Krishnan is a senior disputes lawyer with over 16 years’ experience and leads the disputes practice in New Delhi for the firm. He has acted for clients across various practice areas, including arbitration, competition law, electricity, insolvency and commercial litigation. He regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi and various Tribunals and Commissions, including the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, and the Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal. He has significant experience in both domestic and international commercial arbitration and has represented a variety of clients in court proceedings for interim measures, setting aside arbitral awards, and appointment of arbitrators. Arjun has also advised the Government of India in arbitrations arising out of bilateral investment treaties. Arjun also specializes in competition law. He has been involved in a number of seminal cases in what is a rapidly evolving area of law in India. He represents clients in all phases of competition litigation and also advises the firm’s clients on M&A filings before the Competition Commission of India. Arjun is a national correspondent for India to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). Arjun is an Inlaks Scholar, an alumnus of the National Law School of India University and New College, University of Oxford. He is an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India, and was awarded a silver medal and the Mukesh Goswami Memorial Prize for obtaining the 2nd rank in the Supreme Court’s AOR examination. Arjun is admitted to practice law in India.
