Dr Filip Uziębło is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, and a partner in the corporate department and the real estate practice of Rymarz Zdort. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2000, also completing a course in English and European law organised by the British Centre for English and European Legal Studies at the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the University of Cambridge. In 2014 he obtained a Ph.D. from Akademia Leona Koźminskiego in Warsaw. He joined Rymarz Zdort, formerly known as Weil, Gotshal & Manges – Paweł Rymarz sp.k., in 1999. A specialist in corporate law, M&A deals, private equity, privatisation and restructuring transactions, he has advised shareholders, sellers, targets, industry investors, private equity funds and institutional financial investors with regard to a wide range of transactions. He has represented many leading international private equity and real estate investors in complex M&A transactions. The prestigious legal ranking publication Chambers & Partners has multiple times ranked Filip as one of the best specialists in Poland for private equity and since 2015 it has ranked him as one of the best lawyers for corporate/M&A. According to recent reports, Filip Uziębło is frequently engaged by a diverse range of clients, including real estate groups, private equity houses and venture capital funds on various transactions. He is an experienced practitioner who is best recognised for his activity in the real estate sector. Interviewees report him to be a “very proactive and hard-working” lawyer. Another prestigious legal ranking, The Legal 500, has since 2018 ranked Filip in the “Next Generation Lawyers” category for private equity and since 2019 it has recommended him for real estate. In the most recent report a source stated that “Filip Uziębło demonstrated unique expertise in terms of the critical analysis of real estate and organising the exercise in an efficient and innovative manner. His combined knowledge in corporate law, restructuring and real estate has clearly given him a keen eye to quickly and easily identify material issues and important information.” Another legal ranking publication, IFLR1000, singled Filip out as a “Notable Practitioner” for private equity in 2018 and since 2019 it has singled him out for M&A and real estate acquisitions as well.
