Kate qualified in 2005 and joined Royds Withy King in 2016. Kate is experienced in advising both individuals and employers and has worked with clients of all shapes and sizes. She advises on all aspects of employment law including disciplinary, grievances and sickness management, redundancy and restructures, discrimination and Tribunal claims. She has particular experience in dealing with collective issues including large scale restructures and changes to terms and conditions, collective agreements and industrial relations. Kate advises businesses and individuals on a wide variety of business immigration matters. She regularly provides advice and training to employers on their obligations in carrying out right to work checks. Kate supports organisations with sponsor licence applications and advises on compliance with their sponsor duties. Kate regularly supports the work carried out by her colleagues in other teams and provides advice on the employment aspects of corporate and property acquisitions, outsourcing and insolvency proceedings. Clients commend Kate for providing practical, commercial advice and she has been described as “very switched on” (client feedback). She previously worked in-house with two different clients, providing support to the Human Resources department and working closely with the board and senior management team.
