Partner
and access,
Andrew is head of our Residential Property, Farms and Estates team. His career has been shaped by his passion for all things horseracing, agriculture and rural which means he really understands the issues facing those working in these communities and has a great deal of experience in dealing with high value estates, agricultural and equestrian property transactions. Andrew established his own niche bloodstock practice in 1999, and joined Royds Withy King as a partner in 2004. Andrew’s knowledge in his chosen sectors is second to none, having been independently rated as a leader in the field by legal directories Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 for many, many years. He has appeared in a number of very high profile cases that have been widely reported in the national media. According to Chambers and Partners UK, who recognise him as a “Leader in his field”, Andrew “knows horse racing inside out“, and “has excellent bloodstock experience“. “He knows his stuff and understands the industry, and it’s easy to do business with him.” (Chambers and Partners UK 2015) and commentators salute him as “a great quality regulatory lawyer” (Chambers and Partners UK 2013). The Legal 500 UK most recently commended him for his “exceptional judgment”, describing him as “first class with his clients”.
