Alex Bearman specialises in all areas of contentious employment law, with a particular focus on complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims as well as high value bonus disputes. He also advises clients who are bringing and defending unfair dismissal and breach of contract claims and has experience of dealing with proceedings brought in the courts as well as in the employment tribunal. The disputes he advises on will often involve an equity interest in the business. Alex has experience advising on the enforcement of restrictive covenants in employment contracts, including applying to the court for injunctive relief. Alex acts for senior executives and employers. He represents businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to large corporates. His employee clients come from a variety of sectors including banking, legal, insurance, private equity, hedge funds, accountancy and other professional services. He deals with non-contentious matters including advising clients on the handling of large scale redundancies and the employment aspects of business transfers.
