Bio

Paul E. Rumler left a management position in 1990 from an established Denver law firm to create Rumler Tarbox Lyden. Confident that he could offer high-quality and personalized legal services to successful individuals and businesses, he took the plunge into business ownership. Paul draws upon this entrepreneurial experience as he guides owners through the maze of legal issues that they face everyday. Paul’s clients are either successful business owners who want to work with an attorney who understands the challenges and rewards of ownership or individuals seeking an advocate who can see both the forest and the trees. Attentive to detail, Paul handles every legal matter creatively and thoroughly without losing sight of a client’s overall objectives. His background in economics, accounting, and marketing enable him to understand the larger context in which each person or business operates. Paul’s estate planning practice encompasses both simple and complex situations. Using the individual’s personal and financial objectives as a foundation, Paul builds estate plans that achieve those goals in the most tax-efficient manner possible. When creating estate plans for business owners, Paul helps them to craft continuity plans for both their businesses and their families. If owners have children active in their companies, Paul helps these parents to balance issues of fairness and equality among all children. For over 25 years, Paul has worked with business owners and collaborated with their advisors (accountants, financial planners, insurance agents, bankers) to solve problems or to create planning strategies. It may be his experience as a father of teenagers, however, that makes him particularly adept at finding common ground for parties with divergent goals.
