Bio

Cyndi L. Lyden's practice over the past twenty-six years has complemented the business and estate planning representation provided by Rumler Tarbox Lyden Law Corporation by offering litigation and litigation related services. Her practice has encompassed a variety of areas, including partnership and business owner litigation, employment matters, contract disputes, collection matters, real estate and landlord tenant disputes, personal injury, professional malpractice and probate. She is also adept at handling administrative matters and experienced in alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration, special master proceedings and mediation. Her experience in these areas, in addition to her personal experience serving as a financial power of attorney and guardian for a family member, influences her current work in estate and trust litigation as well as guardian and conservatorship proceedings. In addition to Cyndi’s involvement in court proceedings, she also acts as a fiduciary for people who, because of age, illness, minority status or other incapacity, cannot act in their own best interests. Cyndi works not only with families who want to resolve care and capacity issues on a private basis but also serves as Deputy Public Administrator for the 18th Judicial District of the State of Colorado. Whether privately engaged or appointed by the Court, Cyndi represents the interests of incapacitated persons (or minors) in protective proceedings and works with family members and service agencies. Cyndi makes home visits, carefully interviews caregivers and medical providers, meets with financial and investment representatives, and reviews relevant medical, financial and legal documents, applying her extensive legal background, personal experience, and professional integrity with every client. Whether representing a business owner, family member or professional, Cyndi sees her role not only as an advocate for her client, but often as a counselor. In these emotional situations, Cyndi fills the need for someone who not only knows the system, but is also a compassionate, yet confident, decision-maker.
