Partner
and access,
Thomas Gaier is a partner at Robbins, Kelly, Patterson & Tucker. He has been practicing law since 1975 and joined the firm in 1986. He practices in a variety of areas, including estate planning, business law, real estate law, tax law and adoptions. Tom views his profession as a ministry in service to others. Much of his practice involves assisting persons at challenging times in their lives such as a death or serious illness of a spouse or other loved one, creating a new family through a birth or adoption, or starting a new business venture. He also sees most business deals as having a silent party at the table – the government’s taxing authority. His role is to advise on how to structure transactions so that one does not inadvertently pay taxes that could have been avoided. Tom is very grateful for his loyal clients and for his partners, associate attorneys, paralegals and staff who have been a great support in serving all the firm’s clients. When not practicing law or spending time with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Tom serves as Deacon at St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church in Newtown, Ohio doing Baptisms, weddings and funerals and preaching on some Sundays. (Can you imagine a lawyer having an opportunity to preach the Gospel?) Tom also has served as President of four not-for-profit entities and is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati. He also has served as past Chair of the Estate Planning and Probate Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association.
