Walter Gumersell counsels a diverse range of businesses and entrepreneurs on a wide range of corporate, legal, and financial issues. A partner in Rivkin Radler’s Banking, Corporate, Tax and Personal, Family & Business Planning Practice Groups, Walter has successfully closed merger and acquisition transactions, sale and exchange transactions, private securities transactions, commercial loan transactions, and work out transactions for businesses of all sizes in various industries, including the software, banking, insurance, engineering, manufacturing, medical, environmental, distribution, and service industries, including transactions in excess of $100,000,000. Walter counsels large and small businesses on issues that arise in their day-today operations, including shareholder rights and disputes, equity holders’agreements, the authority and duties of management, voluntary and contested dissolutions, organizational and operational agreements, financing issues, and contractual relationships with customers and vendors. In addition, Walter lectures on various business and tax issues to businesses, community groups, attorneys and accountants. He is a member of the business and tax committees of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association. He also volunteers for the Catholic Charities legal assistance project, is a member of the board of directors of the Fiddlers Green Association, Inc., and is president of the Lloyd Harbor Historical Society. Walter serves on the firm’s New Business Committee.
