Thomas Mueller-Gastell has more than 40 years of experience advising domestic and foreign clients in financial transactions, including cross-border secured or unsecured loans, as well as derivatives and mergers and acquisitions. He is internationally recognized as a leader in project finance and infrastructure and energy in Mexico. He has developed the energy and infrastructure practice of the firm participating in emblematic transactions in the areas of hydrocarbons and electricity, such as the Samalayuca project, which was the first power plant built and financed with private equity in Mexico, the financing of the nitrogen production and injection plant for the Cantarell oil field and the development of a series of wind farms in the Oaxaca region. Thomas worked as a Foreign Associate at White & Case in New York, in 1987.
