Ang Chong Yi is a Partner in the Corporate and Capital Markets Practice of RHTLaw Asia and specialises in Banking and Finance. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2012. Prior to joining RHTLaw Asia, Chong Yi was a member of a US law firm specialising in asset finance. With nine years of working experience in aviation and maritime finance, Chong Yi regularly advises state-owned enterprises, international financial institutions and corporations in connection with a variety of aircraft fleet, LNG, offshore and maritime financings. He has also advised on several debt restructuring and enforcement projects in the transportation sector. Chong Yi’s advisory efforts for a leading Chinese leasing company in respect of a ¥20 billion samurai loan, coupled with a cross-currency swap from a leading Japanese bank, led him to winning “Innovative Deal of the Year” at the AFJ China Awards 2018. Chong Yi is fluent in Mandarin.
