Bio

Amanda is a Partner with RHTLaw Asia’s Corporate and Capital Markets Practice and heads the International China Practice. Prior to 2017, she was also an appointed Registered Professional with RHT Capital Pte. Ltd., an approved continuing sponsor on Catalist, the sponsor-supervised board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. With over 20 years working experience in both the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Singapore, Amanda has gained extensive industry knowledge and experience across many different industries such as energy and environment, healthcare, education, and precision engineering etc. As a registered foreign lawyer specialised in the PRC laws together with qualification in Singapore laws, her main areas of expertise are initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&As), joint ventures and foreign direct investments. In recent years, Amanda has expanded new areas of work into financial services, fintech and private wealth. Her recent notable transactions include acted for Duisburger Hafen AG on its joint venture with PSA Northeast Supply Chain Pte Ltd, acted for Dyna-Mac Offshore Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd on its joint venture with China Merchants Heavy Industry Holdings Limited, acted for Starnova Pte Ltd in a voluntary general offer to privatise Luzhou-Biochem Technology Limited; and acted for Yihua Lifestyle Technology Co., Ltd. on its privatisation and delisting of HTL International Holdings Limited. Amanda was a speaker and moderator of panel discussions at seminars and conferences on topics relating to China employment law reforms, regulatory updates on FDI in China, and internal controls and risk management among others. She participated in various PRC Investment Seminars organised by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry in conjunction with various Chinese authorities. In recent years, Amanda was invited to speak at various seminars on blockchain and digital token in the PRC, moderated a panel discussion on PRC healthcare strategy investment in our ASEAN Healthcare 2019. Amanda was also invited by the organiser of Future China Global Forum to moderate a panel discussion on the sustainability of Belt and Road projects.
