Bio

Maria Haydee Zegarra is partner of Rebaza, Alcázar & De Las Casas and leader of the labor area. She has more than 20 years of experience advising companies in a preventive manner in the planning and execution of strategies, proposals for optimization and labor efficiency and resolution of highly complex pre-judicial labor disputes, both for local and foreign companies. María Haydée stands out for her active participation in giving workshops to raise awareness in the prevention of sexual harassment at work, as well as for her intervention in internal investigations derived from the violation of compliance regulations. María Haydée also provides advice in the management of labor inspection procedures, in immigration matters, as well as in collective labor negotiations. She is a member of the Labor Committee of the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions -CONFIEP- and is accredited as an Arbitrator on the payroll of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion for Collective Bargaining in the Public Sector. Maria Haydée is recognized for her work in Chambers and Partners, Labor and Employment (Band 2), Legal 500 and Leaders League. She has been a professor of General Labor Law and of the Postgraduate Program at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Likewise, she participates as a speaker and panelist in various talks and refresher courses on labor issues. She, in turn, issues opinions and provides interviews for various publications and national media. Lawyer from Universidad Católica del Perú (1998), before joining Rebaza Alcázar & De Las Casas Abogados Financieros, she was Head of the Labor Department of the Benites, Forno & Ugaz Abogados Law Firm (2001-2007), and member of the Labor Department of the Estudio Laos, Aguilar & Limas Abogados SCRL (1996-2001).
