Marek Prochazka is the founding Partner of PRK Partners specialising in corporate governance, ethics compliance, sustainability, licensing, merchandising, and dispute resolution. Starting 2020 he is also an administrator of the copyrights of the Czech artist Zdenek Miler, in particular the most famous Czech children figure the Little Mole – Krteček. He is involved in licensing and merchandising in connection with this figure. Marek studied at the University in Bern, Switzerland where he became a Swiss attorney in 1990 before becoming an attorney in the Czech Republic in 1993. He obtained a Master’s degree (LL.M.) from Georgetown University Law Center, in Washington D.C. in 1992 and a M.A. in philosophy (Philosophy Politics Economy with an emphasis on Ethics) at Ludwigs-Maximilian University in Munich in 2019. Marek is an experienced lawyer with a longstanding practice and a very personal approach. Most of his cases involve international elements. Marek is the president of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Czech Republic and a member of the Board of Directors of the Aspen Institute Central Europe o.p.s. He is also on the European Advisory Board of the Georgetown University Law Center. He is fluent in English, German, Czech and French. He is an attorney at law of the Czech Bar Association, and he is also admitted in the Canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The interests of Marek include western and eastern philosophy, yoga, spirituality, the outdoors and the constant attention to the question “How to live.” Marek has been recommended as a leading practitioner in banking, finance and capital markets, litigation and arbitration and corporate governance by the following publications: Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, International Financial Law Review and IRL Expert Guides, European Legal Experts, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers.
